"We Cry Havoc"

Directed by Julia Sears
With Women in Combat Theatre Project

Naked Theatre Company presents an excerpt of the Women in Combat Theatre Project’s We Cry Havoc at SWAN Day 2017. We Cry Havoc is a new, devised theatre piece about women serving in combat in the United States military. Based on interviews with active and retired military personnel, this collaboratively written play explores the inclusion of women in combat roles through dance, music, and poetry. Helmed by Director Julia Sears (Director of NTC's 2014 production of Bitch: A Play About Antigone), the collective has spent the past year developing the piece with Opera House Arts, the Empty Chair Theatre, and the Barn Arts Collective. The collaborators of the Women in Combat Theatre Project include female veterans as actor/co-writers. Naked Theatre Company is proud to play a small part in introducing this new and important work to the DC theatre scene at SWAN Day.
